I try to teach you ways of world
What things are and what they’re not
Your questions endless, odd and tough
‘Is cloud the opposite of rock?’
You see so much through tiny eyes
You start at the bottom and not the top
You always want the outfit right
This mermaid’s tail, that witch’s frock
Death’s too much – you look away
You want a life that doesn’t stop
Nothing still or without joy
The cloud brings rain, just drop by drop
Another day, another change
You watch a cloud above a rock
You think and look and ask yourself
What things might be, what things might not
