No matter how far technology advances
9 out of 10 builders will still prefer
Badly tuned transistor radios
Some old ladies will still wear
Anoraks in a heatwave
And at any one time
At least 35 outraged citizens will be
Complaining to the BBC about something
These things make us what we are
Like fried egg sandwiches
They are strange and messy
But ultimately comforting
