Author information

Born and brought up in the North of England I now live in Angus in North East Scotland. I have worked in journalism, education, market research, shops and nightclubs (5 long years as a DJ in the 1990s) but at present I look after family full-time - partly because I like it, partly because it gives me more writing time and partly because I am very bad at keeping regular jobs.

I have been writing for years but concentrating on poetry for the last decade or so. I have published my poems as postcards and in a book called "More about the song". I read poems regularly at the folk club in Montrose (and anywhere else when asked). I have organised a couple of poetry and music events too.

I have appeared at:
Montrose Folk Club (fortnightly)
Dead Good Poets, Aberdeen
Wordfringe 2007, Aberdeen
Out of the Woods, Dundee
